So at Five Senses our team has worked hard to make this choice easier for parents.

We have devised programs based on the emergent curriculum. This approach to programming gives your child the opportunity to learn and explore their world based on their current interests, whilst respecting your child’s unique individuality, promoting an anti-bias attitude, and encouraging your child to flourish in all area’s of their development.

At Five Senses we believe childcare is a stepping stone for children to develop their curiosity and understanding of the world. Our aim is to prepare children for school by giving them opportunities and experiences to better comprehend their world and to learn more about themselves.

We will strive to work hand in hand with you to prepare your child for their transition to their formal schooling years, by offering them  a head start in life.

School Readiness Program

It is our belief that supporting children’s school readiness is about assisting them in all areas of development throughout the daily program. We recognise that each child is a unique individual and will develop at their own pace

Our school readiness program has been carefully structured by fully qualified staff to suitably prepare your child for kindergarten.

The programs planned and the resources used will help develop your child’s skills within the following area:

• Fine motor –development of hand and finger co-ordination
• Gross motor – physical development
• Language -receptive and expressive skills
• Cognitive –development of memory, concentration and attention span.
• Social and emotional-development of relationship with peers and adults and character building and understanding self expression emotionally.
