Our Philosiphy

At Five Senses we understand that each child is a unique individual who will develop at their own pace through the exploration and discovery of their environment as well as their interactions with the people around them.

We aim to provide an environment that is secure, loving and nurturing which fosters children’s needs and enhances their social, emotional, moral, cognitive and physical development.

Strong relationships amongst the staff, children, parents, families and the wider community are encouraged, established and maintained because  we understand the valuable contributions other resources can make towards the complete development of each child.

At Five Senses we shall endeavour to design exciting programs and plan fun experiences which reflect the children’s interests and facilitate their learning.

Ongoing evaluations of the program shall ensure that the program is constantly reflecting the social and the individual needs of the children.

Carers shall work in strong partnership with families to share an understanding of each child’s individuality; observations are also carried out to create an accurate portfolio of each child’s strengths, abilities and overall development.

At Five Senses we know that children must be treated equally and with utmost respect. Children’s cultural, religious and linguistic diversity will be acknowledged, embraced and reflected in the programs designed and experiences planned.

Our open doors policy gives parents and guardians the opportunity to engage in the daily program and participate with the children as they play, learn and grow.

We aim to provide fresh, healthy and nutritious meals, prepared in a clean and hygienic manner ensuring all children’s dietary requirements are met.

We shall provide a warm and welcoming environment to all those who use the centre and its services to ensure that everyone’s experience at the centre is an enjoyable and memorable one.
